Hello there! My name is Amber Cato and I am the founder of KC Teacherpreneur. Like many of you, I went to school to be a teacher! I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Early Childhood. I taught full time kindergarten, but I knew once I had kids, I wanted to stay home with them! You also know that life is expensive and I also just loved my own projects! I was serving as a part time. I took the leap and opened my very first preschool over 14 years ago! It has been an incredible journey, and I have enjoyed every moment of it. Working with children is truly rewarding, and I have been so grateful for the opportunity to do what I love every day. I still run my preschool with amazing staff members, but now I get to also teach you! God put this on my heart so I'm just following his lead. If God has put a teacher business on your heart, follow it! He will open the doors for you with your steps forward! From the start, I've always had a desire to prioritize being a mom and staying at home with my children. However, as a young couple with financial responsibilities, I realized that extra income was necessary to cover our bills. Despite this, my desire to be present with my kids never wavered. So, I decided to utilize my skills and started a small preschool. Over time, this preschool grew into a larger venture that still allows me to work on my own schedule and be there for my children whenever they need me. The freedom of being my own boss is truly a beautiful thing!
Nowadays, I find immense satisfaction in helping other teachers achieve the same level of freedom and fulfillment that I have experienced. I take joy in guiding them on their journeys to teach what they love and in the way they want to.
I embarked on this wild adventure of opening my own preschool, and let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster ride of trial and error! But, fear not, my friend!
